Then an exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident and enthusiastic applicant to become part of our Reception Team at our Thornton site. The hours are 40 per week with potential for extra hours as business develops, between 8 am and 7.30pm Monday to Friday on a rota system, plus a proportion of Saturday mornings.  

Our Receptionists are a hugely important part of our team. You are the first person our clients see or talk to and we like to make sure our clients feel safe, secure and pampered as part of our Moy Vets family. This role offers the successful candidate a great opportunity to work within a professional team in a forward thinking progressive Company. You will be expected to work in co-operation with all departments and have great communication skills.

You would be responsible for client care, face to face and over the telephone as well as be involved in team meetings, cleaning rotas, stock control and Reception Administration, which will run alongside. You would be working alongside the Team leader and two other Reception staff on a set rota but this would be expected to change slightly when holiday /sickness/ absence cover is needed. You would ensure protocols are adhered to and amended as necessary.  Full training will be given to the new candidate. 

Candidate requirement:

A calm, methodical, organised approach to your workload, but be able to work under pressure and use own initiative

A flexible attitude to the working day, be reliable and punctual

Be able to maintain accurate records and record conversations with clients as necessary

Create and maintain a trusting and effective working relationship with clients, colleagues and suppliers

Willingness to learn and work as part of a team

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with a professional, caring and courteous ‘can do’ attitude

Excellent communication skills whether written, face to face or over the telephone.

Proven multitasking skills

Being able to work as part of a team and prioritise your work

Strong mathematical and literacy skills

A smart appearance (uniform will be provided)

Current IT skills and knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, Outlook, Word and Powerpoint

Good attention to detail and able to follow set protocols

This role would suit an applicant with a solid background in Customer Service and general administration

experience.
